I hear this all the time..and the simple answer is YES!.....
If you expect to do this in one day or two weeks or in the short term...then forget it. The biggest problem for most traders (I think)..is greed. There are certain things in life that are givens: taxes, death and if you trade ...Losses.
If losses are a certainty...how do you protect yourself?...well..it's quite simple... good money management. I'm not going to bore you with the mathematics but for every $1500 of equity i have...i trade with 1 mini lot(10,000..)and i use a max SL of 100 pips...simple.
